Kámera Víl'sona (ona zhe tumannaya kamera) odin iz pervyh v istorii priborov dlya registracii sledov (trekov) zaryazhennyh chastic.
Izobretena shotlandskim fizikom Charlzom Vil'sonom mezhdu 1910 i 1912 gg. Princip deistviya kamery ispol'zuet yavlenie kondensacii perenasyshennogo para: pri poyavlenii v srede perenasyshennogo para kakih-libo centrov kondensacii (v chastnosti, ionov, soprovozhdayushih sled bystroi zaryazhennoi chasticy) na nih obrazuyutsya melkie kapli zhidkosti. Eti kapli dostigayut znachitel'nyh razmerov i mogut byt' sfotografirovany. Istochnik issleduemyh chastic mozhet raspolagat'sya libo vnutri kamery, libo vne ee (v etom sluchae chasticy zaletayut cherez prozrachnoe dlya nih okno).
V 1927 g. sovetskie fiziki P. L. Kapica i D. V. Skobel'cyn predlozhili pomeshat' kameru v sil'noe magnitnoe pole, iskrivlyayushee treki, dlya issledovaniya kolichestvennyh harakteristik chastic (naprimer, massy i skorosti)[1].
Kamera Vil'sona predstavlyaet soboi emkost' so steklyannoi kryshkoi i porshnem v nizhnei chasti, zapolnennaya nasyshennymi parami vody, spirta ili efira. - V 1930godu L. V. Mysovskii s R.A.Eihel'bergerom provodili opyty s rubidiem i v kamere Vil'sona bylo zaregistrirovano ispuskanie β-chastic. Pozzhe byla otkryta estestvennaya radioaktivnost' izotopa 87Rb.[2]
- V 1934 godu L. V. Mysovskii s M.S.Eigensonom provodili eksperimenty, v kotoryh pri pomoshi kamery Vil'sona bylo dokazano prisutstvie neitronov v sostave kosmicheskih luchei.[2]
V 1927 godu Vil'son poluchil za svoe izobretenie Nobelevskuyu premiyu po fizike. Vposledstvii kamera Vil'sona v kachestve osnovnogo sredstva issledovaniya radiacii ustupila mesto puzyr'kovym i iskrovym kameram.\\\\\\\

Rozhdenie elektron-pozitronnyh par gamma-kvantami (v kamere Vil'sona, pomeshennoi v magnitnoe pole dlya razdeleniya trekov elektrona i pozitrona) vpervye nablyudali Iren i Frederik Zholio-Kyuri v 1933, a takzhe Patrik Blekett, poluchivshii v 1948 za eto i drugie otkrytiya Nobelevskuyu premiyu po fizike\\\\\\\\
