Imenno togda etot vozvrashayushiisya posetitel' vnutrennih chastei Solnechnoi sistemy pod imenem C/2013 A1, otkrytyi v yanvare 2013 goda Robertom MakNotom v avstraliiskoi observatorii Saiding-Spring, proletit v 132 000 kilometrov ot Krasnoi planety. Takoe sblizhenie ravno primerno 1/3 rasstoyaniya mezhdu Zemlei i Lunoi.
