Notes for HD 38529
by Jean Schneiderupdate: 22 October 2002
The planet(s):
- Detection method: Radial Velocity
- Basic data:
Name: HD 38529 b HD 38529 c M.sini: 0.78 MJ 12.70 MJ Semi-major axis: 0.129 AU 3.68 AU Orbital period: 14.309 ± 0.05 d. 2174.3 ± 30.0 d. Eccentricity: 0.29 ± 0.02 0.36 ± 0.05 Omega (deg): 87.7 ± 4.0 14.7 ± 10.0 T_peri (JD-2450000): 5.8 ± 1.5 73.8 ± 35.0 Inclinaison: - - - Remarks:
- 22 Nov. 00: From astrometry Han et al (2000) claim a preliminary mass of 435 MJ and inclination of 0.1o
- Exhibits coherent variations in residual velocities
consistent with additional companion.
24 Jul. 00: the source of RV variation remains speculative, depending on completion of one full orbit (Fischer et al 2000).
