Notes for rho CrB
HD 143761, HR 5968update: 4 November 2001
The planet(s):
- Detection method: Radial Velocity
- Basic data:
Name: rho CrB M.sini: 1.1 MJ Semi-major axis: 0.23 AU Orbital period: 39.645 d. Eccentricity: 0.028 ± 0.15 Omega (deg): 299 T_peri (JD-2450000): 84.66 Inclinaison: - - Remarks:
22 Nov. 00: From astrometry Han et al (2000) claim
a preliminary mass of 115 MJ and inclination of
0.5o
Circumstellar disk found at 1.6, 2,1 2.3 and 2.5 microns by Trilling et al (1999). From the disk inclination (46 degrees +4-7 degrees) a planet mass of 1.5 MJ can be infered. Comment by G. Marcy & P. Butler. - References:
