Pokazano, chto proishodit prevrashenie spiralei v S0-galaktiki za schet prilivnyh effektov, a vot prevratit' spiral' v elliptichekuyu galaktiku tak prosto ne udaetsya. Galaktiki maloi plotnosti (naprimer, karlikovye sfericheskie - dwarf spheroidals) polnost'yu razrushayutsya prilivami.

Rezul'tat sostoit v tom, chto dazhe na z>5 pyli mozhet byt' mnogo.

optike - to slozhnaya zadacha dlya sovremennoi rentgenovskoi observatorii!
Krome togo, sputniki zapuskayut ne tol'ko radi kartinok, no i radi bolee
detal'nyh issledovanii - spektral'nyh. A vot spektry seichas luchshe stroit HMM
(potomu, kstati, Chandra bolee izvesten massam - on kartinki luchshe delaet).
T.o. ideya sostoyala v sovmestnom nablyudenii dvumya observatoriyami, chtoby potom
iz dannyh HMM mozhno bylo vytyanut' horoshie spektry, chto i udalos'.
Kastory vidny blagodarya aktivnosti ih koron. O koronal'noi zvezdnoi
astronomii sm. vyshe celuyu knigu.
