Daetsya obzor tekushih i budushih proektov po poisku planet metodom gravitacionnogo linzirovaniya. Seichas mozhno obnaruzhivat' planety tipa Yupitera na rasstoyanii v neskol'ko astronomicheskih edinic ot M-karlikov v baldzhe Galaktiki. Odnako, poka net nikakih polozhitel'nyh rezul'tatov, t.e. dannym metodom ni odnoi planety ne otkryto. Eto govorit o tom, chto menee 1/3 M-karlikov imeet "yupitery" na orbitah v intervale 1.5 - 4 a.e., i menee poloviny imeyut "yupitery" na rasstoyanii ot 1 do 7 a.e.
