Orientaciya spinov (v kosmicheskoi srede)
Atomy, molekuly, iony, elektrony i fotony obladayut opredelennym spinom, t.e. vnutrennim (vrashatel'nym) momentom kolichestva dvizheniya. Obychno sostoyanie chastic v razlichnyh kosmich. ob'ektah, napr. v atmosferah zvezd ili v tumannostyah, harakterizuyut ih koncentraciei, raspredeleniem po skorostyam, stepen'yu ionizacii, vozbuzhdeniya i ne rassmatrivayut, kak pravilo, ih spinovoe sostoyanie. Predpolagaetsya, chto spiny raspredeleny haoticheski i ni na chto ne vliyayut. Odnako eto predpolozhenie ne vsegda opravdano. V ryade sluchaev O. s. sushestvenno vliyaet na fiz. svoistva kosmich. ob'ektov, v chastnosti kosmich. sredy.

protiv polya). Takaya orientaciya naz. staticheskoi. V deistvitel'nosti energetich. uslovie,

dlya statich. O. s., v izvestnyh kosmich. ob'ektah ne vypolnyaetsya. Napr., v mezhzvezdnoi srede pri N ~ 10-6

Pri otsutstvii teplovogo ravnovesiya vozmozhen principial'no inoi tip orientacii, t.e. dinamicheskaya orientaciya, pri k-roi spiny chastic sredy orientiruyutsya v rezul'tate ih vzaimodeistviya s prohodyashim cherez sredu napravlennym potokom izlucheniya ili potokom bystryh chastic. Tak, optich. izluchenie i radioizluchenie zvezd i tumannostei, a takzhe napravlennye korpuskulyarnye potoki, prohodya cherez mezhzvezdnuyu sredu, i vzaimodeistvuya s nei, ne tol'ko menyayut raspredelenie chastic po impul'sam, no i orientiruyut spiny ztih chastic.
Dinamich. orientaciya spinov nerazryvno svyazana s takimi yavleniyami, kak davlenie izlucheniya i solnechnyi veter, t.k. pri stolknovenii s fotonom ili chasticei solnechnogo vetra atomu (ili dr. chastice) odnovremenno peredayutsya i impul's, i moment impul'sa. Vtoroi process dazhe bolee effektiven v tom smysle, chto naletayushii potok snachala orientiruet chasticy sredy, a uzh zatem uvlekaet ih v napravlenii svoego rasprostraneniya.
Analiz fiz. uslovii v razlichnyh kosmich. ob'ektah pokazyvaet, chto pri dinamich. orientacii spiny okazyvayutsya vystroennymi, a ne polyarizovannymi, i osn. mehanizmom takogo vystraivaniya yavl. rezonansnoe rasseyanie napravlennogo nepolyarizovannogo izlucheniya (izlucheniya v spektral'nyh liniyah). Pri rezonansnom rasseyanii atomy i molekuly ochen' effektivno vzaimodeistvuyut s fotonami, veliko t.n. effektivnoe sechenie rasseyaniya.
Mehanizm optich. rezonansnoi orientacii naglyadno raskryvaetsya na primere dvuhurovnevogo atoma so spinom J = 1 v osn. sostoyanii i so spinom J' = O v vozbuzhdennom sostoyanii (ris. 2).

sredu, lineino polyarizuetsya vsledstvie togo, chto prozrachnost' sredy dlya izlucheniya,
polyarizovannogo parallel'no i perpendikulyarno magn. polyu, neodinakova. Eto yavlenie
neobhodimo prinimat' vo vnimanie pri analize spektrov razlichnyh kosmich. ob'ektov.
Tak, vystraivanie
privedet k polyarizacii prohodyashego sveta i k anomal'nomu otnosheniyu intensivnostei
poglosheniya v mul'tiplete (t.e. v sovokupnosti spektral'nyh linii, obrazuyushihsya pri
perehodah
mezhdu dvumya energetich. urovnyami, rassheplennymi na podurovni). Etot effekt mozhet nablyudat'sya
dlya linii poglosheniya, obrazuyushihsya v razrezhennyh obolochkah zvezd, gde imeetsya intensivnyi
napravlennyi potok izlucheniya. Uchet vystraivaniya spinov mozhet dat' kachestvenno novuyu
informaciyu otnositel'no anizotropii fiz. uslovii v issleduemyh ob'ektah, a imenno:

magn. nolya i uglovom raspredelenii potoka izlucheniya. Napr., po izmerennomu otnosheniyu
intensivnostei linii dubleta natriya i
v spektre komet i stepeni polyarizacii linii D2
mozhno opredelit' napravlenie magn. polya v golove komety.
