    Novizna svyazana vot s chem. Poyavlyayutsya ukazaniya na to, chto sredi obychnyh (dlinnyh) gamma-vspleskov pryachutsya dva raznyh tipa sobytii. Avtory polagayut, chto vtoroi tip vspleskov svyazan s tem, chto posle vzryva sverhnovoi i obrazovaniya protoneitronnoi zvezdy proishodit formirovanie kvarkovogo ob'ekta. Osnovnoe preimushestvo oni vidyat ne v dopolnitel'noi energetike, a v tom, chto poyavlenie poverhnosti kvarkovoi zvezdy mozhet privesti k tomu, chto vo vneshnee prostranstvo vyletyat tol'ko elektrony, pozitrony, neitrino, fotony, no nikak ne bariony! T.e. poverhnost' budet rabotat' kak svoeobraznaya membrana.

    Avtory polagayut, chto rabotayushii seichas na orbite sputnik Swift smozhet dat' reshayushuyu informaciyu dlya podtverzhdeniya sushestvovaniya dvuh tipov klassicheskih gamma-vspleskov. Eto blizkii ob'ekt v "nashem" skoplenii galaktik.

    Sovremennye teorii obrazovaniya krupnomasshtabnoi struktury predskazyvayut poyavlenie znachitel'nogo chisla temnyh galaktik. Eto galo temnoi materii, plotnost' gaza v kotoryh nedostatochno velika dlya obrazovaniya zvezd (v etom-to i sostoit prichina ih "temnoty"). Odnako, kak yasno, obnaruzhit' "temnuyu galaktiku v temnom kosmose" nelegko, dazhe esli ih tam mnogo. I vot udalos' pokazat', chto takoi ob'ekt naiden.

Delo v tom, cho sputnik tipa CGRO (pribor BATSE) mog by videt' takoi vsplesk s rasstoyaniya do 50 Mpk. Znachit, esli uzh v nashei Galaktike za 30 let nablyudenii my uvideli odnu takuyu vspyshku (kstati, rasstoyanie do MPG - 15 kpk), to iz ob'emy, ogranichennogo 50 Mpk BATSE mog by zaregistrirovat' 1-2 sotni takih yavlenii.

    Stat'ya astro-ph/0502428 interesna eshe i tem, chto avtory osparivayut tradicionnuyu ocenku rasstoyaniya do istochnika vspleska. Vmesto obychnyh 15 kpk oni predlagayut velichinu 6-10 kpk.
