    Samoe vazhnoe sostoit v tom, chto vyborka pozvolyaet prosledit' izmenenie mass galaktik ot z=1 do nashego vremeni. Okazyvaetsya, za etot period zvezdnye massy galaktik v srednem vozrosli vdvoe.     S pomosh'yu novoi apparatury na 64-metrovom radioteleskope v Avstralii proveden poisk radiopul'sarov v Magellanovyh oblakah. Obnaruzheno 14 novyh ob'ektov. 2 iz nih po vsei vidimosti prinadlezhat nashei Galaktike (t.e. oni prosto sluchaino proeciruyutsya na Oblaka), a vot 12 nahodyatsya v samih sputnikah Mlechnogo Puti. 9 - v Bol'shom Magellanovom oblake, i 3 - v Malom. Chtoby ocenit' mnogo eto ili malo otkryt' 12 novyh radiopul'sarov v etih karlikovyh galaktikah, skazhu tol'ko, chto ranee tam bylo izvestno vsego 8 radiopul'sarov.

    Odnako, nikakih supersensacii ne proizoshlo. Otkrytye pul'sary dovol'no zauryadny. Tem ne menee, progress nalico. Uchityvaya, chto, naprimer, Maloe Magellanovo oblako otlichaetsya ot nashei Galaktiki men'shei metallichnost'yu, budet interesno uznat', okazyvaet li eto vliyanie na pul'sarnuyu populyaciyu. Dlya takogo analiza neobhodimo obnaruzhit' bol'shee kolichestvo radiopul'sarov. Budem zhdat' novyh otkrytii.
